DISCIPLING

This is what discipling is all about, real followers of Jesus will support new followers encouraging them, helping them get established in their faith.

Discipleship training is not passive, theoretical learning but practical, hands on training and releasing. For this to happen, the more mature disciples must become leaders, models, mentors and trainers of the new disciples.

When a disciple is discipling a brother and sister in Christ, it says in the Gospel of John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Christian discipleship is the process by which disciples of Christ grow in the Lord, and are equipped by the Holy Spirit, to lead others, encourage strengthen to see the plan of God be fulfilled in his Sister or Brother.

All believers are called to be disciples, it takes a disciple to make a disciple.

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher. Luke 6:40
