PRAYER PURPOSE

Communication with God is vital to the Christian. He hears and answers prayer that is in line with His will. We find the will of the Father in Luke 22:42 (NIV) “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; let not my will, but yours be done”.  Prayer connects us to the Father; His plans and His purpose.

The scriptures tell us that Jesus prayed regularly, in Luke 6:12 (NIV) One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray and spent the night praying to God.  Jesus goes to pray because He was looking for an answer.

Lack of prayer demonstrates lack of faith and trust in God’s Word, we should consult Him through prayer before making any decision.  James 5:16 (KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Prayer is the way to the Fathers will and purpose !
